1. Is it cold in the cellars?
The temperature is relatively constant and similar to indoor conditions. Therefore, please dress warmly in winter.
2. Do you provide specific facilities for people with reduced mobility?
We have a wheelchair available for loan during the visit. Simply request it at the reception desk upon your arrival. We also provide walking stick seats.
As part of our commitment to safety and accessibility for all visitors, the site is also equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED), available in case of emergency. Our staff are informed of its location.
3. What are the opening hours?
Opening hours vary depending on the season. We invite you to consult the “Information & Opening Hours” section of our website before planning your visit.
4. Are visits available in multiple languages?
Yes, we provide audio guides in English, Spanish, Catalan, German, and Dutch.
5. How long does the visit last?
The guided tour lasts between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. The self-guided visit lasts approximately 1 hour on average.
6. Is there a shop on site? Do we need to visit the site to access it?
Yes, there is a shop on site, and it is accessible without requiring a visit.
7. Do you welcome groups (seniors, school groups, etc.)?
Yes, we welcome school groups, associations, and senior groups. Special rates are available upon reservation.
8. Can photos be taken during the visit?
Photos are permitted for personal use. For any professional or commercial use, prior authorization is required.
9. Where is the entrance to the BYRRH Cellars tour located?
The entrance is located in the same building as the Aspres Tourist Office.

10. Is there parking nearby? Is it free?
The cellar car park is located on the left-hand side of Boulevard Ecoiffier. The entrance to the cellars is 50 metres further up on the right. All car parks in Thuir are free of charge.
11. Do I need to book in advance to visit?
If you wish to take a guided discovery tour or a Visionarium visit, it is strongly recommended to book by phone or email, regardless of the season.
12. Is the visit accessible for wheelchair users? Are there any stairs?
The tour route is 1.5 km long and includes two staircases of approximately 8 steps each. For the first staircase, a lift is available, but not for the second.
Walking stick seats can be borrowed at the reception desk.
13. Is there a tasting session?
Yes, regardless of the type of visit, there is always a BYRRH tasting at the end.
14. Is the tour route indoors?
The tour route is mainly indoors. There is one outdoor section featuring historical photographs. In case of bad weather, umbrellas are provided.
15. Is the visit suitable for children?
It is absolutely possible to visit with children.
For younger children, we recommend the self-guided visit with audio guide during the tourist season (1 April to 31 October), as this allows them to go at their own pace and take part in activities such as the scent game.
16. Can I visit with my dog?
Yes, no problem — dogs are allowed.
