Description

vabé-rivesaltes-ambré

Created in 1948, Vabé is rooted in the tradition of natural sweet wines from Roussillon, at the heart of the Rivesaltes AOP. Crafted using ancestral expertise, it is made from a blend of Mediterranean grape varieties such as Muscat, Grenache, Macabeo, and Malvoisie.

Fermentation is partially stopped through mutage to preserve the grape’s natural sugars. The wine is then aged for a minimum of three years in tanks or barrels, developing an elegant and authentic character, emblematic of the winemaking heritage of Roussillon.

Tasting notes

Vabé captivates with its amber hue and golden highlights. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe fruit, such as apricot and peach, complemented by notes of honey, nuts, and gentle spices. On the palate, it offers a rich and velvety texture, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, leading to a long, harmonious finish where fruity and spicy notes linger. This natural sweet wine is ideal as an aperitif, with dessert, or paired with aged cheeses.

Serving Suggestions

Vabé is best enjoyed chilled, between 10 and 12°C (50–54°F), to fully appreciate its aromatic richness and natural sweetness. It can be served as an aperitif, paired with sweet dishes, aged cheeses, or desserts featuring dried fruits. This natural sweet wine can also be used in refined cocktails, adding an elegant and aromatic touch to your creations.
